Method for Curbing Depression with use of Psychedelic Medicine

Patient Intake:

Patient greeting and ordinary questions of age, current emotional state, and level of comfort with psychedelics. Further explanation of the medicine and process as required. See the Psychedelic Experience attachment.

Tools for comfort include a weighted blanket or denim blanket, eye mask, essential oil/blend selected by the patient, and headphones (bone-conducting preferred).

  • Check ambient temperature, lighting, and setting for optimal comfort. Patient-room specific.

Proceed to administer Esketamine/Psilocybin (Psychedelic) per FDA-approved guidance and medicine-specific protocol

Shadow Integration:

The word written on the thenar of the palm slowly dissolves by the hydrophobic oil (essential oil) by rubbing the hands together and breathing in the “intention phrase.”

There is a preference to use mint, spearmint, or peppermint for its menthol (diaphoretic properties) and aromatic volatile oils.

The process is repeated several times until the ink is faded and blurry, and the patient feels at ease.

THE CALL BACK

Florida Water: Used for aromatherapy and spiritual call-back. This is administered by soaking a makeup sponge or similar for the patient to hold under the nose and inhale. Alternatively, the Florida water can be placed into the facilitator’s hands and then wafted in the patient’s direction by waving hands approximately seven inches from the patient’s face. Enliven Mist, in production phases, will be a spray version of Florida water used as a mist instead of being placed in the facilitator’s hand. It is a cologne whose recipe has not changed since the 1800s and has been extensively used in several spiritual observations.

  • Citrus (Lemon) and Sodium (Salt): Like the first battery made with brine, this combination carries an exceptionally light current and a bitter/sour taste that pulls the patient back into their body. Often used in times of distress, this is great to have on hand for new patients who mention uncontrolled sensationalism. A variety of citrus has proven effective, including oranges and limes.

Breath Work (Cobra Breathing): Have the patient begin by placing each index finger on the temples on each side of the head, followed by the pinky finger compressing the bridge of the nose. The remaining three fingers will rest above the brow as they place slight pressure on the temples, bridge, and brow. Inhale by taking eleven short breaths without exhaling. Control should be used for each inhale, and the patient should build up a tolerance for filling their lungs over time. For beginners, inhale eleven times, hold your breath for 30 seconds, and finish with two deep exhales without taking a breath in between. Repeat three times or until the patient has a sensation of “being back in their body.” The goal of breath work in increments of 11, 22, 33, and 44 is achievable.

  • Coffee: This tool is optional. Some patients do not drink coffee for a myriad of reasons, including health concerns, increased heart rate/blood pressure during treatment, or other personal preferences. For those patients who do ingest it, the increased heart rate, metabolism, and diuretic effect will help eliminate the ketamine through the digestive tract and expel it through urination at a much faster rate.
